Event Captain

Terminus 330, Atlanta’s premier event venue for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings, is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Event Captain. Responsibilities: • Play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of events from start to finish • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive relationship with the client, guests and vendors • Manage event setup and takedown • Maintain cleanliness of the venue (restrooms, seating, common areas) • Collaborate with event planners and vendors to ensure smooth operations and coordinate the event logistics • Ability to troubleshoot issues in real time • Ensure safety of attendees and work with staff to resolve any issues • Manage event staff and maintain a positive, productive work environment • Address client’s concerns in an efficient, professional manner Requirements: • 1-2 years of event management experience with strong event management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously • Strong conflict management skills to deescalate tense situations and maintain a safe environment • Hospitality mindset with a friendly and welcoming demeanor • Strong attention to detail, organization skills and communication skills • Excellent attention to detail and organization • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays • Conflict management skills • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs Schedule: 15-20 hours/week, weekdays, nights and weekends Pay: $24-28/hour, based on experience
