We are known for elevated culinary experiences, seamless execution, and a collaborative team culture.About the RoleThe Event Chef plays a critical role in executing high-quality culinary experiences during live events. This position works event-based shifts and is responsible for onsite food preparation, finishing, presentation, and kitchen leadership during service.Unlike a traditional restaurant line cook role, this position focuses on event production, working in dynamic, fast-paced environments where timing, organization, and adaptability are essential.This is a part-time, hourly role paid at $30.00 per hour.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute menu items according to established recipes, plating standards, and timelinesOversee event kitchen setup, production flow, and breakdownEnsure food quality, presentation, and consistency throughout serviceCoordinate with Event Leads, Planners, and Operations to align timing and service executionMaintain food safety and sanitation standards at all timesMonitor inventory and communicate supply needsAdapt quickly to real-time changes in guest counts, timing, or service flowSupport offsite catering production when assignedQualificationsRequiredMinimum 3 years of professional kitchen experienceExperience in banquet, catering, or high-volume production environmentsStrong understanding of food safety and sanitation standardsAbility to execute under time-sensitive conditionsAvailability to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsValid Washington State Food Handler s Card (or ability to obtain)PreferredExperience working in events, catering, or multi-course plated serviceExperience working offsite or in non-traditional kitchen environmentsWork EnvironmentThis role is event-based and requires flexibility. Shifts are scheduled based on event bookings and may vary week to week.
