The Event Concierge is responsible for a variety of tasks for catering and convention groups including meeting group coordinator/host(ess) prior to event functions, making introductions, and ensuring that all arrangements are agreeable for event success. The event concierge must read and analyze banquet event orders in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, and more. • Ensure proper handling when shipping and receiving of packages, always maintaining customer confidentiality, will also ensure proper receipt of incoming packages and freight, verifying contents and condition. • Coordinate with various hotel partners to meet group needs, including shipping and handling. • Must have sufficient self-confidence, poise, charisma, and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively as part of a team and to take part in professional discussions.
