Eventful by Alexa is looking to add 2 new positions to join our team as an event stylist. • Assisting with creating balloon displays and backdrops (will train) • Executing the event according to the 'day of timeline' • Executing the design plan for the event- including but not limited to centerpieces, linens, favors and dessert tables • Completing final checks (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards • Creating friendly and meaningful relationships with vendors and clients • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems • Listening to the wants and needs of the client and exceed expectations • Communicate with vendors and staff to ensure smooth transitions and efficiency • Direct guests throughout the event as needed Skills: • High school diploma is required • Degree in hospitality or business management or relevant field is preferred • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service related industry is required • Has method of transportation able to travel within Suffolk and Nassau County • Weekend availability is a must (Friday-Sunday) • Experience in an event hall or hospitality industry a plus • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills • A strong eye for detail, color palettes, and visual elements • Able to stay on task without being micro-managed Hours: This is a temporary position with inconsistent hours and schedule.
