The key responsibility of the Event Supervisor is to supervise events, and perform assignments to ensure successful events on the Saratoga County Fairgrounds. The supervisory role of the Event Supervisor will ensure the safety of staff and event attendees and that event promoters are satisfied... · Assign tasks and responsibilities to Event Staff as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES • Knowledge: Saratoga County Fair operation of the grounds for various public and private events • Resourcefulness, flexibility and the ability to work independently to complete work in a professional and high quality manner • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization • Ability to be organized and manage multiple tasks • Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively participate in team efforts • Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to co-workers, advisors, community and professional leaders, and clientele groups • Ability to effectively work with the General Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and committees • Ability to identify and utilize resources effectively • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through oral, written, and visual channels • Ability to operate vehicles, ( trucks, tractors, and skid steer), and use small tools safely (Reasonable accommodations will be made for otherwise qualified applications unable to fulfill one or more of these requirements): Ability to access all areas of the fair grounds.
