In the performance of their duties, the Event Coordinator will report to the Director of Visitors Services and will also coordinate with the Facilities Manager or any other... manager designated by the Chief Operating Officer when coordinating the event(s). The Event Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating all facets of event sales, generating and cultivating sales leads, promoting the destination, and building customer/client relationships The Event Coordinator will coordinate with various department managers and their staff to ensure all components of the event are properly set-up, staffed and managed. The Event Coordinator is responsible for understanding the client’s needs for the event, ensuring ample staff are assigned to monitor and provide assistance throughout the course of the event. The Event Coordinator will plan and execute the event based on the budget/financial parameters determined by the Director of Visitors Services and/or accounting staff and negotiate with appropriate vendors prior to the event.
