Job Summary The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing events taking place at our venue in Chapel Hill, NC. Responsibilities • Conduct venue tours for potential clients and drive sales through effective communication • Oversee the confirmation of final details of various events such as conferences, weddings, parties, showers, and corporate meetings • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all event requirements are met • Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure everything runs according to plan • Provide exceptional guest services and address any venue-related issues or concerns that may arise during events • Handle social media management to enhance online presence and engagement (a bonus skill, but not necessary) • Communicate professionally via phone and email with clients and vendors • Manage contracts, including filing and organizing documents • Report directly to Venue Manager Experience • Experience in events management with a background in catering, hotel, restaurant, or other customer service-focused industry • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure • Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Proficiency in event planning software (or willingness to learn) and Microsoft Office suite • Knowledge of guest services best practices and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Event Coordinator looking to showcase their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, as well as an opportunity for those interested in the Weddings + Events industry to gain experience hands-on.
