Large, growing Modern Orthodox, multigenerational Synagogue located in Bergen County, NJ seeks a part-time Event Coordinator to be responsible for sales and management of the catered events on the premises of the Synagogue. The Event Coordinator will work closely with The Director of Operations and maintenance crew to ensure successful execution of rentals, set up and events related activities. Main Responsibilities • Maintaining events calendar • Scheduling and performing facility tours for prospective clients • Handling event rental contracts • Communicating between vendors • Interacting with multiple departments regarding event planning and synagogue activities • Coordinating maintenance schedule with The Director of Operations • Working with marketing coordinator on advertising and promoting rental facilities • Coordinating and keeping track of all building catering needs (kiddushim, etc) Qualifications • Working knowledge of Orthodox Jewish traditions and customs that includes understanding of kosher catering concepts • Working knowledge of Prismm/Allseated and similar event management software • Ability to utilize Docusign and similar signature management platforms • Excellent communication and writing skills • Ability to multitask, be organized, collaborative and have excellent interpersonal skills • Education: College degree or equivalent.
