Description:DESCRIPTION:The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a wide range of events. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure events are aligned with organizational goals and deliver exceptional experiences for attendeesLead the planning and execution of various events, including conferences, seminars, webinars, trade shows, corporate meetings, and social eventsDevelop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logisticsSecure event venues, vendors, and resourcesManage event registration and attendee communicationCoordinate event logistics, including catering, transportation, and audio-visual equipmentOversee event setup and breakdownCollaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, sales, executive team) to define event objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goalsBuild and maintain relationships with external vendors and partnersCommunicate effectively with event attendees, speakers, and sponsorsDevelop and implement event marketing plans to promote events and drive attendanceCreate event marketing materials, including websites, brochures, and social media contentManage event registration and ticketing processesConduct post-event evaluations to assess event success and identify areas for improvementAnalyze event data and provide reports to stakeholdersCapture and share event best practices and lessons learned Take direction from the Event Planning and Execution Team LeadMentor and Direct subordinate Event Planning and Execution Team staff #qf#pmfRequirements:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in Event Management/Hospitality Management/Marketing or related field (HS and 4 years of additional experience or AS and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of BA/BS)9 years total experience (Relevant Master's Degree may be exchanged for 2 years' experience credit or a relevant PhD may be exchanged for 4 years' experience credit)5 years relevant position-specific experienceProven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of eventsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal and presentation skills Budget management and negotiation skills Proficiency in event management software and toolsAbility to work independently and in an agile, collaborative team environment Active US Government Clearance at Secret level or higher Effective written and verbal communications skills for collaboration with both customers and fellow team membersAbility to sit for extended periods of time and regularly lift at least 25 pounds Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in event planning and coordination including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, marketing, and on-site coordinationCertified Meeting Professional (CMP) designationExperience with virtual event platforms and technologiesExperience in DoD public eventsMaster's degree in Event Management/Hospitality Management/Marketing or related fieldQBE is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
