About the position Responsibilities • Event planning and execution, ensure event details are organized for successful implementation , • Develop and execute marketing and advertising strategies to maximize outreach and engagement , • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, venue booking , • Maintain accurate programming records , • Assist in creating and distributing newsletters for office recognition, and advertising for programming supported by OMSA and other office lead programs, initiatives, or workshops , • Provide support and assistance to the associate director, maintaining the day-to-day operations of the office , • Assist with organizing Fall Break and Spring break trips , • Assist with the development and expenditures of budgets according to university policies Requirements • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field , • 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience Nice-to-haves • May graduates will be considered if they will be able to obtain their degree by the date of employment , • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and with individuals and groups with a variety of identities, cultures and backgrounds , • Demonstrated skills in advising students and student organizations, as well as, programming and budgeting Benefits • Health and life insurance , • Generous paid leave , • Retirement programs , • 15 paid vacation days , • 15 paid sick days , • 13 paid holidays (including an extended December holiday)
