The City of Cockrell Hill is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of memorable city events. Staff, Community Service & Volunteer Management: • Recruit, schedule, and supervise part-time event workers, community service, volunteers, and temporary staff • Provide clear instructions and training to ensure smooth event setup, operations, and teardown • Serve as on-site team leader during events, addressing staff needs, assignments, and problem-solving in real-time • Ensure all staff follow city policies, safety protocols, and customer service standards • Prepare monthly event reports and updates for the City Administrator and City Council. Other Notes: This part-time position is not eligible for paid time off, paid holidays, or health insurance benefits. Work Schedule: • Part-time 20 – 30 hours per week • Flexible hours • Schedule: Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as required • Work Model: Primarily in-person with limited hybrid flexibility based on event schedule and administrative needs
