Event Coordinator

Mint Artists Guild Detroit, Michigan

Oversee, plan, market and lead a series of community art programs in Detroit parks and other public spaces, and assure that youth are prepared (and on site) to offer various art activities.. Follow our guidelines, Mint brand guidelines and expectations. Schedule at least four of the 10 events. Develop a checklist and printed materials for these events. Come up with a fundraiser, sponsorship or other strategies to continue this initiative in 2027, and present it to Mint leaders by Aug. 15.

Opportunity / impact: Bring joy to hundreds of Detroit families, develop youth community art skills and cultivate new funders and donors to Mint Artists Guild. This is a grant-funded by the Skillman Foundation part-time seasonal role that could work alongside other gigs and projects.

Time commitment: May 21 – Sept. 21, about five to seven hours a week, some weeks more and some weeks less. Must be available to be on site during events on select weekends and weekdays in Detroit.
