About the Position

Our Place on 17 is seeking confident, organized and hospitality-minded individuals to join our team as Event Venue Coordinators.

The Event Venue Coordinator serves as the venue's on-site representative during weddings, corporate events, social events and other special occasions. This individual helps ensure the venue is prepared, vendors understand venue procedures, clients feel supported and events operate smoothly from the venue's perspective.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, communicates well with different personalities, pays attention to details and can remain calm and professional in a fast-paced event environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as an on-site representative of Our Place on 17 during eventsComplete venue opening procedures and pre-event walkthroughsWelcome clients and vendors upon arrivalOversee vendor arrival, load-in and venue accessVerify event spaces are prepared according to venue requirementsCommunicate with clients, vendors and venue staff throughout eventsEnsure venue policies and procedures are followedMonitor guest-facing and venue spaces throughout eventsAssist with event-day questions and problem solvingCoordinate with Event Coordinator Assistants and other venue staffMonitor venue condition throughout the eventDocument and report damage, incidents or maintenance concernsOversee appropriate vendor load-out and event breakdownComplete venue closing proceduresEnsure the property is properly secured at the conclusion of eventsCommunicate important event information to venue managementWe're Looking for Someone Who Is

Previous hospitality, wedding, venue or event experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates professionalism, reliability and strong hospitality skills.

Important Distinction

The Event Venue Coordinator represents Our Place on 17 and the venue's operations. This position is not the client's personal wedding planner or event planner. The Coordinator's responsibility is to ensure the venue operates smoothly and venue policies and procedures are followed throughout the event.

Schedule

Part-time opportunities are available. Event schedules will include nights and weekends, and hours may vary based on the venue's event calendar.
