Event Coordinator

The Event Coordinator is a full-time, year-round position responsible for the planning and execution of special events and private events at Findlay Market. This person is also responsible for overseeing all programming and some community engagement for the Corporation for Findlay Market (CFFM). Special Events • Responsible the planning and execution of all tasting events, including but not limited to Chili Fest Valentine’s Day Sweet & Savory Stroll, Juneteenth Tasting Event, and Fall Food Fest • Responsible for the planning and execution of all community focused events, including but not limited to: Art & Poetry, Juneteenth Panel, National Farmers Market Week and Trick-or-Treat • Responsible for the planning and execution of special Outdoor Market events and activations, including but not limited to: Night Markets, BLINK and Holiday Market • Responsible for all Grand Opening activities for new Findlay Market businesses and businesses that participate in CAM • Manage all logistics for press conferences at Findlay Market • Coordinate with appropriate members of the Communication Team on promotional materials related to special events, including but not limited to web sliders, postcards, posters, digital graphics, mailers • Represent Findlay Market at external events and activities to promote Findlay Market and specific opportunities when appropriate • Coordinate with the Market Management Team on organization, upkeep and needs of event equipment • Ensure that events are within the budget provided by the Events and Community Engagement Manager Large-Scale Events • Serve as the liaison and logistics manager for all large-scale events in which Findlay Market is involved when appropriate • Be the primary event person for all logistics related to BLINK - planning and execution of internal events and programming, coordination support of Outdoor Market and bars, wayfinding, guest experience • Be on-site for the entirety of BLINK activities at Findlay Market • Responsible for the Findlay Market/CFFM Opening Day float planning and day-of management • Support the work of the Food Innovation Team at external tasting events, such as Taste of Cincinnati and Asian Food Fest Programs • Responsible for the management of the Program Associate, ensuring that all programming is planned and executed according to the goals set by the Event and Community Engagement Manager • Manage on-site logistics of programs when the Program Associate is unavailable or they require additional support • Responsible for all programs meeting financial and operational metrics • Responsible for all programs meeting diversity and inclusion goals • Programs include, but are not limited to: Music at the Market, Findlay Eats, Volunteer Program, Tours, and Community Outreach Programming • Be certified as a Cincinnati Tourism Ambassador and serve as the primary tour guide • Support the work of the Market Management team on non-Communication programming such as the Greening the Market program and Outdoor Market program • Plan and execute activities to support Jane’s and the Race Street Station • Expected to regularly understand the landscape of Findlay Market and propose new programs to support our mission • Support teams across the organization on implementation of CFFM programs
