Job Overview The mission of the Resort Programs & Special Events Office is to enhance Virginia Beach's Resort Area environment for residents and visitors through coordination of City Code enforcement, entertainment programming, franchise business opportunities, hospitality services and maintenance. Coordinate the permitting process and coordination of City services/logistics for special events, beach weddings, commercial and private property and film productions. Create detailed City Service Request in a timely manner through computerized event management system to distribute to other City Departments. Act as liaison between event organizers and state/city agencies. Monitor and critique special events and filming activities to ensure compliance with City policies/codes and regulations.
