**Overview:** NCVLI is seeking a temporary Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of its annual Crime Victim Law Conference and Voices for Justice Reception. The successful candidate will have experience in event planning, project management, and communication, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. **Responsibilities:** • Coordinate all aspects of the annual Crime Victim Law Conference and Voices for Justice Reception, including budgeting, project management, registration, and logistics • Develop and oversee the project management plan, ensuring timely and efficient execution of all event components • Secure continuing legal education certifications for attendees, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage event logistics • Coordinate outreach for speakers, auction donations, sponsorships, and attendee engagement • Populate and manage online event platforms, and assist with run of show for both events • Collaborate with NCVLI staff and the Board of Directors to ensure successful event execution • Generate regular reports regarding progress and outcomes throughout the contract term • Participate in a post-event debrief to contribute to a final event report • *Qualifications:** • 2+ years of experience in major event planning, preferably within the nonprofit industry or corporate environment • 2+ years of related experience managing virtual and in-person conferences and trade shows • 2+ years of experience in development, donor engagement, or fundraising event management • Understanding of event technology platforms and tools, including Whova, Greater Giving, and Zoom • Strong editing, proofreading, and communication skills • Excellent event planning, negotiating, and organizing skills • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multiple projects simultaneously • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively • *Benefits:** • Competitive hourly rate of $35 • Estimated contract term of up to 1,300 hours, with hours distributed based on key deliverable benchmarks • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and mission-driven organization committed to promoting victims' legal rights • Flexibility to work remotely, with occasional travel to Portland, Oregon required for event execution • Access to office space periodically throughout the contract term, if local to Portland, Oregon • Opportunity to contribute to a final event report and participate in a post-event debrief
