Event Coordinator
Schedule & time commitment: Varies. Event coordinators should commit to at least 4-6 events
in their area per year.
Location of work: Remote - but in your defined event area
Reports to: Director of Fundraising & Events
Position Summary: The Event Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Carolina Boxer
Rescue’s mission by planning, organizing, and executing fundraising and community
engagement events throughout the year. This volunteer position works closely with the Director
of Fundraising, Communications team, and other key volunteers to ensure events are
well-organized, on brand, and financially successful.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about animal welfare.
They are comfortable working independently while also collaborating with various stakeholders
to manage event logistics, vendor coordination, promotion, and day-of-event execution. Events
may include annual fundraisers, community outreach events, adoption meetups, and new
fundraising initiatives.
This role offers a meaningful opportunity to directly impact the rescue’s ability to save and care
for boxers in need while building lasting connections within the community and among fellow
volunteers.
Core Responsibilities:
Plan and develop event ideas, concepts, and themes that align with CBR’s missionCoordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, date scheduling,vendor relationships, and any equipment rental
Work with graphic designer and social media coordinator to get events on the Facebookand website calendar and also into rotation for promotion
Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with event setup, operation, and cleanupWork with the Director of Fundraising to set fundraising goals for each event anddevelop strategies to meet or exceed those goals
Maintain an inventory of CBR items to sell at events and report on the sales of the itemspost event
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors, donors, and partners forevent support
Be present at events to oversee logistics, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Addressany issues or challenges that may arise during the event.
Evaluate the success of each event by analyzing attendance, revenue generated, andfeedback from participants.

Passion for animal rescue and a strong commitment to Carolina Boxer Rescue'smission.
Excellent organization and time-management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in event planning or coordinator is a plus but not required
