This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences for our supporters.This is a contact-to-hire opportunity. McKinley offers competitive benefits during the contract period. This role is mostly remote but will require travel around the Detroit area 1-2 times per month.ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of events, including golf tournaments, virtual conferences, community events, and moreWork closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of eventsOversee event logistics such as venue selection, catering, transportation, technology, decor, and audio-visual requirementsDevelop event timelines and ensure all activities adhere to deadlines and budgetary constraintsManage event registration, attendee communications, and ticketing systemsAssist in the development of program materials, schedules, and agendas for various nonprofit programs and eventsServe as a point of contact for event participants, ensuring an excellent experience before, during, and after the eventEngage donors, sponsors, and community partners in event planning and execution to foster long-term relationships and enhance event impactCoordinate post-event follow-up, including thank-you notes, surveys, and donor recognitionMaintain event documentation and reports for future reference and to support organizational goalsRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceAt least 2 years of experience in event coordination, management, or program coordination, ideally within the nonprofit sectorStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with volunteers, donors, and community membersSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeContractJob functionStrategy/Planning and OtherIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting and Non-profit Organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr
