Working closely with the Events & Marketing Manager, Deputy Director, and other MWEA staff and leadership, the Event Coordinator contributes to the promotion of events through social media, website updates, the membership database, email communications, and various event and organizational publications. As a key member of the events team, the Event Coordinator plays an integral role in both event execution and marketing, collaborating across departments to ensure consistency, alignment, and support for broader organizational operations. This position also involves building and maintaining strong external relationships with members, committees, volunteers, and vendors, enhancing the value and service MWEA provides. Assist with planning, organizing, supporting, and/or executing various programs, special events, and activities related to conferences, conventions, educational seminars, webinars, board meetings, and other related events, as assigned. Strong business acumen – astute about the impact of external trends on the organization; able to adjust to and drive change.
