The role of Event Coordinator at RSCVA is an integral position responsible for supporting the planning, organization, and management of events hosted across its facilities. This full-time opportunity offers a meaningful chance to be at the heart of event coordination for the Reno Sparks Convention Center, National Bowling Stadium, and Reno Events Center. The Event Coordinator assists the Event Manager with daily operational duties to ensure the seamless execution of various events, from smaller scale engagements to large conferences and tournaments. The coordinator's responsibilities include overseeing client communication, monitoring logistics, coordinating event timelines, producing detailed event documentation, and serving as a liaison between clients and internal departments during all phases of event planning and execution. This role demands excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively. The position also requires maintaining a positive, professional demeanor in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, adjusting to varying work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

1 to 3 years’ hospitality or related experience and/or training
an equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable
working knowledge of principles of facility management, services, and equipment for similar facilities
facility/industry experience preferred
knowledge of contract administration, rental agreements, language, terms, certificates of insurance, and legal concepts
knowledge of set-up and tear down requirements for tournaments, conventions, and various events
proficient in basic computer skills and software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
ability to prioritize multiple projects
excellent written and oral communication skills
must be highly motivated and self-directed
detail oriented
meet established deadlines
be professional in performance of duties
ability to work under limited supervision
excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
ability to work long and irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License
