The primary responsibility of an event rigger involves the coordination and execution of aerial and ground rigging activities within a hotel or convention center environment. The rigger will be responsible for gathering and organizing rigging tools and equipment, ensuring carpet protection, and providing support to teams building points from lifts. The ideal candidate will possess 500+ hours of onsite rigging experience, hold a qualified-Basic Rigging certification, and have lift operation experience. They must also meet the physical demands outlined below, including sitting, standing, walking, stooping, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching (above head), climbing, grasping, lifting 0-15 lbs frequently, lifting 16-50 lbs occasionally, and carrying 0-15 lbs frequently. Other key aspects of this role involve observing and maintaining all safety concerns during an event, escalating any observations of personnel acting in an unsafe manner, and verifying all elements are securely fastened and checked for safety.
