Event Design & Sales Consultant - Upstate

Crisp is looking for a designer who sells. You'll take a client's idea — a Pinterest board, a color swatch, a half-formed dream — and turn it into an event people remember.

You'll design weddings, galas, corporate events, and private celebrations across the Upstate and Western North Carolina. And you'll see every design through, from the first consultation to event day.

This role is for someone who loves color, texture, and trends. Someone who can walk into a venue and see what it could become. And someone who knows a great design only works if our crew can build it — so you communicate clearly with the operations team that brings it to life.

We want a go-getter who jumps in and does it all — someone who wants a bigger piece of the pie as our Upstate team grows.

Design & Client Vision (40%)

Lead design consultations in our Greer showroom, at venues, and on-site Turn client ideas into a clear design — color palettes, linens, furniture, tabletop, lighting, signage, and tent layouts Build mood boards, renderings, and event layouts (layout software training provided) Stay current on wedding, social, and corporate event trends and bring fresh ideas to every client Think outside the box — recommend specialty and custom pieces that make an event one of a kind

Sales & Revenue (30%)

Turn inquiries into booked events through consultative, no-pressure selling Upsell with purpose: specialty furniture, premium linens, upgraded tabletop, signage, and custom fabrication Prepare clear, accurate proposals and follow up promptly Partner with Business Development to win new venues, planners, and corporate clients Grow repeat and referral business with planners, venues, and past clients

Design-to-Execution (20%)

Own each event you design from the first meeting through event day Hand off complete, accurate details to our operations team — layouts, item lists, timing, and site notes Attend planning meetings, walk-throughs, and key setups so the finished look matches the plan Serve as the clear line of communication between the client, the venue, and our crew

Administration & Brand (10%)

Keep proposals, bookings, and client notes current in our rental software Build a portfolio of Crisp Upstate events for marketing and social media Represent Crisp at bridal shows, venue open houses, and design-partner events

Qualifications / Requirements

2+ years in event design, floral design, interior design, wedding or event planning, event sales, or a related creative field A degree or coursework in art, design, interior design, floral design, or a related field is a strong plus A strong eye for color, texture, scale, and style — and the ability to explain your ideas simply Comfortable selling: you enjoy helping clients say yes to something better A go-getter who wants to jump in, do it all, and take on more as you grow Excellent communicator — clear with clients and just as clear with crews Organized and detail-driven; able to juggle many events at once during peak season Comfortable with design and layout tools (Canva, CAD, or event layout software) and general computer skills; quick to learn new systems Available for some evenings and weekends, especially April–May, October, and the holiday season Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Portfolio of past work strongly preferred
