Job Summary

As an Sales Associate/Event Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while also carrying out a variety of shared retail activities required for daily operation. You will also be responsible for hosting a variety of events at Bricks & Minifigs Bee Cave such as birthday parties and field trips.

Bricks & Minifigs is an aftermarket LEGO store dedicated to the philosophy that good play helps build good minds. Each Bricks & Minifigs location is locally owned and part of a growing franchise. We are driven by the belief that we can help build connections, one LEGO brick at a time. Bricks & Minifigs is a LEGO buy, sell, trade & birthday party retail store. We offer a wide variety of new and retired LEGO sets, as well as bulk bricks, and individual minifigures. We are looking for someone exceptional who wants to be a part of a dynamic store environment and who wants to continually help us grow and evolve.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

-Hosting birthday parties and events in our party room.

-Working with kids and adults to ensure the events are fun, safe, and organized

-Contacting guests prior to their event to go over any details or questions they may have

-Using the point-of-sale system to complete transactions

-Setting up party room prior to events

-Cleaning party room after events

-Assisting on sales floor as needed

-Supporting management with creative ideas and sharing customer feedback

-Sharing in other general retail activities as needed (e.g. annual stock count, special

events)

Essential Qualifications:

-Experience working with kids or in a family focused store

-Ability to be welcoming and approachable

-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

-Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

-Organization skills and ability to keep large groups on task

-Physically able to lift and move heavy boxes and stand for long periods of time

-Motivation to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization

-A desire to act with integrity as well as work collaboratively with others

-Must be 16 or older to apply

Preferred Qualifications

-One year of retail or customer service experience

-One year of experience working with kids

-Knowledge of LEGO products

Work Days: Saturday and Sunday (Weekdays as Needed)

Hours: Between 8-16 hours per week
