Event Lead

Description Under the general direction of the Event Logistics Manager, the Event Lead plays a key role in bringing events to life through hands-on coordination, exceptional customer service, and seamless day-of execution across the Garden. ensuring excellent customer service and a top-quality experience with the GardenCommunicate efficiently and effectively across various Garden departmentsResponsible for the completion of event paperwork, incident reports, and the handling of any other issues pertaining to vendors, the event, safety of individuals attending and the maintenance of the Garden facility from damageMonitor event activities to ensure the client and event attendees are satisfiedMonitor guest behavior and communicate with appropriate departments as neededAssist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessaryAssist with office tasks as deemed necessaryOversee vendor load-in at various Garden entrancesAct as go-to shift leaderAssist with check-in shiftsAssist with maintaining organization in Event Lead Room and all other Special Events storage areasTrain new members of the teamProvide excellent customer service in meeting the needs and requests of clientsWork and interact professionally with all levels of management and staff of the GardenWork in a team environment to execute both private and public events at the Garden Requirements 1-2 years ' experience with event coordination/executionMust be able to work independently as well as on a team environmentMust have availability to work both daytime and weekend shifts as well as early morning and late-night shiftsDemonstrate excellent leadership, organizational and time management skillsAbility to respond quickly and effectively to changeCreative problem solving and excellent customer service skillsAbility to communicate clearly, confidently and professionally with vendors and clientsBe able to understand diagrams and all event paperworkPersonable with a positive attitudeMust have access to reliable transportation and be able to report to work on a changing schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays
