Responsible for management of all University events. Qualifications:Must have a unique blend of highly specialized technical skills along with excellent people skillsDemonstrated ability in quickly mastering various technologies and software programsAbility to concurrently coordinate multiple projects per dayAbility to cultivate positive working relationships with students, employees, and external clientsAbility to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and detail-oriented skillsExamples of Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for all aspects of assigned conferences & events including planning, preparation, production and logistics, final budget closeout and reconciliation.Work closely with the conference/event contact throughout the planning of the actual conference/event to assure a successful event.Schedule and coordinate the use of facilities and other resources such as logistics, audio/visual production, security, custodial, and catering for all assigned conferences, meetings, and events.Write detailed plans of action (client profiles and event descriptions) for conferences/events on campus.Manage the yearly event calendar and associated forms.Write contracts for conferences, camps, meetings, and events for external clients.Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.Participate in planning committees.Assist the logistics coordinator in conference, event, and meeting set ups when needed.Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Conference and Event Services.Experience Needed: Bachelor's Degree is required.
