Job Description Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Event Management Director to spearhead the strategy, planning, and execution of impactful internal and external events, including client engagements, executive programs, and trade shows, within a fast-paced technology environment. This role requires independence and a proactive approach to create comprehensive event experiences that align with business objectives and brand positioning.

As a strategic partner, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Leadership to turn priorities into scalable, high-quality programs. You will manage the full event lifecycle, including budgeting, vendor management, logistics, and onsite execution, all while ensuring operational excellence and consistency.

This role involves managing multiple complex programs simultaneously in a high-performance environment, requiring exemplary prioritization, adaptability, and the ability to thrive under pressure. You will leverage data, analytics, and stakeholder insights to optimize performance continuously. Additionally, you will contribute to process improvements and mentor junior team members to raise team capabilities.

Regular travel is required (approximately 50%).

About the Role

In this role, you will lead complex event initiatives independently, delivering seamless, high-quality experiences that support strategic business goals and drive measurable impact in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead complete strategy, planning, and execution of complex events, including internal meetings, client conferences, executive programs, and trade shows.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure event strategy aligns with business priorities and customer engagement objectives.

Oversee the full event lifecycle, encompassing program design, timelines, logistics, and onsite delivery.

Develop and manage event budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reconciliations.

Source, negotiate, and manage vendor and venue contracts to achieve quality and cost efficiency.

Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, anticipating risks and implementing solutions to meet tight deadlines.

Establish and enhance processes, tools, and best practices to promote scalability and consistency.

Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights for future event improvements.

Mentor junior team members and encourage a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Ensure compliance with organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience & Certification: Minimum of 10 years in event management within corporate or technology settings; CMP certification required.

Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to independently lead large-scale, high-visibility events with measurable outcomes.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Financial Acumen: Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.

Program Management: Capability to manage multiple complex initiatives with strong prioritization in high-pressure situations.

Vendor & Contract Management: Proficiency in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships.

Data-Driven Approach: Skilled in leveraging analytics and insights for optimizing performance.

Operational Excellence: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and process improvement.

Adaptability & Resilience: Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to excel in a high-paced, demanding environment.

Technology Proficiency: Advanced skills in Cvent and Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (globally).

Compensation:

$89,600.00 - $157,000.00 USD. This role is eligible for bonuses.

The compensation range is based on location. Actual salary offers will consider various factors like skills, experience, and hiring location. Your recruiter will provide more details during the hiring process.
