Event Management Lead Engineer II

Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain event management platform; develop and maintain processes, as well as scripts to manage and automate workflows related to event management Integrate other monitoring tools and information technology (IT) systems to ensure seamless data ingestion and notification Conduct/participate in proof of concepts (PoCs) to evaluate new monitoring tools, event management, as well as workflow/automation platforms and make recommendations to align with strategic initiatives Collaborate with operations support teams and Network Operations Center (NOC) to enhance monitoring, alerting, and visualization capabilities Keep updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in event management and automation Qualifications: Minimum eight years of recent experience with and strong understanding of event management and related concepts including correlation, enrichment, and root cause analysis Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred Proven experience in event monitoring, system administration, network management or a similar role; strong scripting skills (such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript); admin level experience with event management tools (such as BigPanda, Moogsoft, Netcool) Advanced practical experience with system integration and data flow management; knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) concept and practices; proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and collaboration abilities; capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa) KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
