Summary:

Plans and implements ScanSource, Inc. customer, supplier, and sales events by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Duties

Manages planning and execution of full range of events, including but not limited to floor days, road shows, internal corporate events, trainings and conferencesManages pre- and post-show marketing of eventsEvent planning includes but is not limited to contract negotiation, creative development, logistical coordination of on-site needs (audiovisual, setup, food and beverage), registration management, and database managementManages production and purchasing for eventsDevelops and reconciles budgets with final approval of manager; ability to perform numerical calculations and advanced understanding and ability to work with numbers and calculations in order to solve problems and/or accomplish a taskIncorporates strategic initiatives and objectives into actionable plansApplies industry and corporate knowledge to quality control on marketing communicationsManages communications with appropriate amount of analysisManages and coordinates all marketing communications with final approval from team managerOther duties as assignedRegular attendance is an essential function of the Event Manager position

Reporting Relationships

Reports to Event Manager and/or Manager of Events TeamContact with vendors, customers, suppliers, co-workers and executive management

Requirements

High school diploma requiredEvent planning experience required

Preferred

College degree in marketing3+ years of experience in an event role

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of timeAbility to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the positionAbility to travel 30 % of the time.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Physical lifting and moving of boxes and show materials

Compensation

Compensation Range: $60,000-$63,000

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
