Event Manager

Description This role involves effectively servicing clients and groups, while maintaining the contracted food and beverage minimums. The Events Manager will collaborate with the Director of Event Management and Director of Sales to achieve the hotel’s revenue, meeting planner satisfaction scores, and food and beverage objectives for the assigned property. Management-level associates are expected to work the necessary hours to fulfill job responsibilities. Meet or exceed assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, and food and beverage targets.Proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and client entertainment tailored to the specific needs of the assigned property.Monitor and assess trends within the market segment.Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, attentive, and service-oriented manner.Adhere to Avion Hospitality’s regulations, company standards, catering and meeting standards, and catering sales metrics.Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel’s operations and policies, as well as those of relevant departments.Deliver banquet event orders in a timely manner (within 10 days), ensuring accuracy.Communicate any changes promptly to impacted departments and operations leaders.Maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations, as applicable.Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes, as needed.Attend and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as other functions required by management.Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales/Events.Requirements
