Event Manager

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure seamless execution from inception to completion
Manage event budgets with chef meticulously, tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation to maximize impact within financial parameters
Coordinate all aspects of event marketing efforts to promote events effectively across digital channels, social media, and traditional media
Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all technical requirements, catering arrangements, and guest accommodations are flawlessly executed
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing attendee inquiries promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle
Implement upselling strategies during events to enhance revenue opportunities through premium offerings or additional services
Maintain strong communication with owner, clients, team members, vendors, and venue staff to ensure alignment on objectives and expectations

Experience

Proven experience in event management or hospitality roles such as banquet management, restaurant operations, hotel services or fundraising events
Demonstrated ability to plan large-scale events with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Strong negotiation skills with experience managing contracts and vendor relationships
Familiarity with event marketing techniques and digital promotion strategies
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
Prior experience in catering or banquet operations is a plus; hospitality background enhances understanding of guest services and hospitality nuances

This position is paid a base rate and commission percentage, to be discussed upon interview.
