Event Manager

Team Building Events Manager Position (Full-Time, not Remote) - Birmingham, AL Independently manage all aspects of team building events: work with clients to learn their business needs to create a custom team building event, manage all logistics associated with setting up the event, manage contract negotiation and execution, handle complex issues that arise during events, manage event vendor relationships, and travel logistics.Independently lead team building events providing inspirational and instructional presentations to teams of 25 - 100+ people, both in-person and virtually.Travel to team building event locations nationwide and in select Canadian markets.Prepare contracts, invoices, agendas, presentations and written communication used during team building events.Manage event vendor agreements, relationships and logistics.Work in sync with events professional vendors employed by our corporate clients, third-party event management companies and destination management companies.Other tasks as assigned from time to time. Strong events management experience and skillsAbility to independently manage complex problemsAbility to conduct events (including speaking on stage) in front of large groups of people (up to 100+ people) with confidence and easeAbility to travel (requires overnight travel that varies from month to month, usually 2-3 times per month for 1-2 nights each)Enjoys collaborating with othersExcellent written, oral and presentation communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, Zoom, Microsoft TeamsEntrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow with a company that makes a positive impactAbility to move 70 lb.
