Role Description The Event Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in St Francisville, LA, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events such as weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and community celebrations. From a sales standpoint, day-to-day responsibilities include contacting event and wedding planners within a three hour drive of St. Francisville, delivering company PDFs to the planners that explain the different properties and spaces that Louisiana Hospitality Group (LHG) has to offer, and giving person-to-person tours of the individual properties to the planners. The Event Manager will also field direct inquiries and conduct meetings with brides, companies, and individuals who want more information on LHG event options. Once an event is committed, the Event Manager is responsible for collecting all funds, executing contracts, creating and submitting BEOs to the company chef (if the event is internally catered), and reviewing the timeline and responsibilities of all parties with the event buyer. On the day of events, the Event Manager will be responsible for ensuring in person that all contract and event space rules are adhered to, such as setups and breakdowns, parking, security, etc.
Qualifications
Proven experience in event planning and on-site event management within hospitality, venues, or related industries.Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills to handle multiple events and deadlines.Excellent client-facing communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Ability to coordinate vendors, staff, and logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract review.Comfort working on-site during events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to manage last-minute changes and ensure guest satisfaction.Proficiency with basic office software and event management tools (e.g., calendars, spreadsheets, project management platforms).Experience in hospitality operations, venue management, or food and beverage service is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.Ability to stand for extended periods, move event materials, and perform light physical tasks associated with event setup and breakdown.
