Events will include but are not limited to elegant galas, parties, expos, competitions, graduation ceremonies, outdoor sporting events, happy hours, forums, and luncheons. Must be able to model positive behavior and create an environment and culture that focuses on upholding the core values of the IECRM organization: Integrity, Competency, Respect, Service, and Collaboration, and must foster a culture with an equitable work environment. Negotiate and choose the best combination of quality and cost to achieve the most favorable terms • Manage all logistics, including catering, decor, rentals, personnel, parking, AV needs, and any other event details • Develop and manage timelines, plans, and checklists for events while considering budget and time constraints • In collaboration with the Development Director, coordinate with secured sponsors to achieve stated goals and assist with their needs • Create event content and communications utilizing the Events Module of the database to ensure consistency with overall event messaging, project planning, and execution • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure delivery of event marketing and sponsor recognition • Document processes and information using the database Events Module for event continuity and consistency • Oversee attendee registration processes, including online ticketing, check-in, nametags, and ticket issue resolution • Track and maintain attendee data, financial reports, and corporate sponsors in the database • Track revenue and expense actuals against the planned budget and reconcile all financials with accounting colleagues • Conduct post-event debriefs and reports. Experience using video streaming platforms is a plus • Proven organizational and time management skills in an events capacity • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with an efficient approach to managing events • Experience operating within an income and expense budget • Ability to anticipate guest needs and expectations • High degree of skill in logistics with a strong sense of aesthetics • Ability to professionally supervise and manage event volunteers and vendors • Demonstrated ability to be creative and flexible • Impeccable writing and editing skills with excellent command of grammar • Outstanding verbal communication skills and negotiation ability (to both internal and external audiences) • Must consistently present a positive, professional attitude and appearance • Ability to display a non-judgmental, objective attitude toward coworkers, students, and members • Prior exposure to educational, nonprofit, or association business is a plus • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality • Neat, dependable, on time, and prepared • High comfort level working with members, sponsors, students, and the public • Comfortable working on-site at events (Denver metro area) and in our Northglenn and Ft. Collins locations • Must possess reliable personal transportation All employees are required to have certain levels of auto insurance coverage.
