Ithaca Beer Co. in Ithaca, NY is looking for one event manager to join our 72 person strong team. The Taproom Event Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that events are fun, successful, within budget and that they reinforce the Ithaca Beer Taproom. This person will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the event planning serving as a liaison between Marketing, Kitchen, and FOH. Specific responsibilities include: Planning Creating a project management plan for each event to be approved by the GM specifying; Timeline for marketing activities Timeline for ordering supplies Establishing budget for the event Establishing the event parameters in order to avoid scope creep Establishing menu with approval of the Executive Chef Identifying key elements of the event theme to... inform decoration choices Control Understanding and adhering to the budget for the event Updating actual costs as they are incurred Adjusting the expenses in relation to real revenue as necessary Creating an end of event report that includes all revenues and costs related to the event Execution Executing the event on-site Scheduling staff levels appropriate for the event needs and according to the labor budget Guiding staff in the performance of their duties Monitoring all aspects of set-up, execution, and take-down, addressing problems as needed Serving as the face of Ithaca Beer when interacting with VIP’s, guests, vendors, and others Setting a high standard for work performance, ethics and integrity Communication Attending monthly marketing meeting to provide input on future events and feedback on past events Working closely with the Taproom management team to communicate needs for staffing Working closely with the Executive chef on menu planning Working closely with the Marketing Events Coordinator on promotions, synergy with other activities, etc.
