Essential Job Duties: • Manages planning and execution of full range of events, including but not limited to floor days, road shows, internal corporate events, trainings and conferences • Manages pre- and post-show marketing of events • Event planning includes but is not limited to contract negotiation, creative development, logistical coordination of on-site needs (audiovisual, setup, food and beverage), registration management, and database management • Manages production and purchasing for events • Develops and reconciles budgets with final approval of manager; ability to perform numerical calculations and advanced understanding and ability to work with numbers and calculations in order to solve problems and/or accomplish a task • Incorporates strategic initiatives and objectives into actionable plans • Applies industry and corporate knowledge to quality control on marketing communications • Manages communications with appropriate amount of analysis • Manages and coordinates all marketing communications with final approval from team manager • Other duties as assigned • Regular attendance is an essential function of the Event Manager position Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position • Ability to travel 30 % of the time. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range. Outside of CA, ScanSource grants 128 hours of paid time off (PTO) each calendar year (prorated for date of hire). In the state of CA, employees accrue a set number of hours each pay period equaling the same 128 hours of PTO.
