Event Manager

We offer Same Day Pay and No waiting period on Benefits. Hyatt Regency Aurora is looking for an experienced Event Manager. Requirements: • A high school diploma or GED is required • An associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field preferred • 1-2 years of work experience in event management, preferably a full service hotel • Excellent communication skills for working with clients and other team members • Ability to budget and keep track of event planning expenditures using relevant software such as Excel • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and organization skills • Applicants must be able to work weekends & holidays. • Executing on-site events and ensuring high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases • Plan, upsell, and detail the program with the client • Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events • Assist the Director of Catering Sales and Events with any pertinent duties • Organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals • Timely communication to clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person • Create and maintain relationships with clients including hosting planning tours and meetings • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution • Reviews meeting planner surveys and follows up with clients • Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures • Ensures billing accuracy and conducts bill reviews with the clients prior to processing the final bill • Manages group room blocks and meeting space for groups • Identifies operational challenges associated with their group and determines how to best work with the property staff and client to solve these opportunities and/or develop alternative solutions • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs As a Company, we believe the true success of our operation rests with the associates who bring life to the brick and mortar.
