The Event Manager is a key member of the events team and will provide leadership and direction through the planning, coordination, and execution of Indiana Sports Corp events. General Responsibilities (includes but not limited to): • Responsible for developing a project plan including a timeline, staffing plan, action items, and deadlines to ensure best in class production of assigned events • Participate on Local Organizing Committees and lead volunteer committees to ensure proper and timely completion of committee’s responsibilities. • Serve as an ambassador of Indiana Sports Corp in the community and help communicate the mission of the organization. Event Administration (includes but is not limited to): • Prepare and manage event budgets and provide periodic updates to the Leadership Team for assigned events. Required Skills • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) • Budget creation and management • Exceptional time management skills, multi-tasking abilities, team player • Experience working with volunteers and/or managing and motivating people • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce (can be trained) • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
