Event Manager

Oak View Group is the global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry. The Events Manager directs, supervises, & manages events from the advance planning stages through to the end of the event, ensuring client standards and contractual obligations are met or exceeded. Responsibilities • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate the logistics of assigned events; act as liaison for building with all parties and departments involved in the event. • Troubleshoot during event preparation and during event to ensure that all event setups are correct including making decisions about policy, procedures, billing and staffing. • Including but not limited to (Other duties as assigned) Qualifications • Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university in a related field (Facility, Hospitality, Sports, or Business Management, or related field) • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in event management setting (stadium, arena, convention center, or public assembly facility) • Prior Supervisory responsibilities encouraged • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, handle multiple tasks at one time, meet deadlines • Must be self-motivated with strong leadership abilities and organizational skills • * Working knowledge and principles of events, fire and public safety regulations as well as relevant federal, state and local regulations.
