An established telecommunications and technology organisation is seeking an Events Marketing Specialist to lead the planning, negotiation, and execution of sponsorships, branded events, and community marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for delivering high-impact events that increase brand awareness, support business growth, and strengthen community engagement while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, negotiate, and execute sponsorships, branding initiatives, and large-scale marketing events.Research and recommend new sponsorship and event opportunities aligned with marketing objectives.Coordinate community, sales, and business events with internal stakeholders.Evaluate and respond to sponsorship and event partnership requests.Source, negotiate with, and manage external vendors, suppliers, and brand ambassadors.Develop and coordinate event logistics, schedules, and run-of-show documentation.Manage event assets including signage, promotional materials, booths, and displays.Support the creation of promotional content across television, radio, digital, and social media channels.Coordinate media partnerships and reciprocal promotional opportunities.Execute social media campaigns and event marketing initiatives to maximise audience engagement.Monitor event budgets, process invoices, and prepare post-event reports and performance analysis.Build and maintain relationships with programming partners and event organisers.Participate in cross-functional marketing initiatives and planning meetings.Travel to events as required and provide on-site event support, including occasional evenings and weekends.Requirements
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.2–4 years of experience managing sponsorships, events, or agency-side marketing campaigns.Strong event planning, project management, and organisational skills.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.Experience managing budgets, invoices, and event expenditures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience coordinating vendors, promotional materials, and event logistics.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Telecommunications, cable, mobile, or technology industry experience is advantageous.Willingness to travel up to 40% and work occasional weekends based on event schedules.
