Event Operations Manager

Saz’s Hospitality Group is looking to add an experienced Event Operations Manager to its leadership team to serve at the helm of Sazama’s Fine Catering. Overall Duties & Expectations: Act as event lead to ensure successful execution of all types of catering events including larger or complex events, new clients, formal weddings, new business, repeat and smaller events Direct pre-event shift meetings prior to every event to inform team of event- specific details and their roles Provide direction, guidance and training to Captains and FOH team members Provide performance feedback on captains, servers and bartenders to conduct performance reviews Staff all functions with front of house staff including captains, servers and bartenders based on event needs Deliver performance coaching and policy action as necessary Establish a positive work environment for event execution teams Serve as on-site point of contact for clients and vendors Participate in Management Meetings in order to correct issues, learn and share new ideas within the company Attend BEO meetings to collaborate with Operations, Sales and Culinary staff on event details Collaborate with the Director of F&B;, Saz’s Hospitality Group leadership in development of the Sazama's Fine Catering FOH Training Program Functional Tasks: Proactively address client needs and feedback; handle complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures Use BEO details to ensure appropriate set up and service of events Use Staffmate and Caterease software Order, maintain and monitor inventory Collaborate with Sales & Planning team to ensure client vision and needs for event are satisfied Work with Event Planner to coordinate operations details of event execution Coordinate with Staffing Coordinator to ensure personnel requests are met for each event Contribute to recruitment and hiring process for line level employees Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members on site to uphold standards and provide The Finest experience. Serve as lead trainer for new employees; complete orientation and training shifts according to FOH Training Program Lead event teams in setup and teardown of events Instruct team in process of food preparation/plating and service Oversee Bar & Banquet Captains to ensure appropriate execution and quality in all aspects of event This leader will earn a competitive salary of no less than $60,000, depending on experience, and will be eligible to earn bonus opportunities for reaching established targets. This role is also eligible for a $2000 hiring bonus paid in segments throughout the first year on the team!
