It is uniquely formed by its Members, which are the governmental units of federally recognized Tribal Nations administering federally funded housing programs designed to support American Indian and Alaska Native families. The organization holds operating authority to deliver extensive insurance coverage and support services that contribute to strengthening tribal sovereignty and community resilience. The Event Planner role at AMERIND is vital to the organization’s ability to communicate, collaborate, and maintain strong relationships within and outside tribal governments. This Event Planner role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an organization dedicated to tribal communities while advancing a career in event management within a culturally significant and impactful environment. • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, meeting/event planning or related field • Five years direct experience in event and conference planning • Valid driver's license • Local and out-of-state travel is required • Must pass a background investigation • No felony, theft or fraud convictions • Ability to complete Associate in Insurance (AINS) designation within six months post 90-day evaluation • Completion of elective course and six hours of professional development within 12 months post 90-day evaluation • Ability to sit for long hours at a computer and stand for up to 8 hours during events • Ability to lift 25+ lbs occasionally • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing • Must successfully pass annual physical exam
