Our innovative approach to education provides students with a solid foundation through principle-based learning and standards established by our nation's founders.Job Information: Event PlannerHours/Week: 40Job DescriptionAssist the Manager in coordinating staff and convention personnel to organize group meetings and conventions.Assist Manager in the following tasks:Arrange availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.Conduct post-event evaluations to identify improvements for future events.Coordinate details with staff at event sites.Consult with clients to determine objectives and requirements for events such as meetings, conferences, and conventions.Coordinate services including accommodation, transportation, catering, signage, displays, special needs, printing, and security.Design and implement publicity efforts and promote sponsorships.Evaluate and select service providers based on customer requirements.Hire, train, and supervise volunteers and support staff.Inspect event facilities to ensure they meet customer specifications.Maintain records of event details, including financials.Meet with sponsors and committees to plan event scope, budget, and procedures.Monitor event activities for compliance, participant satisfaction, and problem resolution.Negotiate contracts with service providers and suppliers.Obtain permits from relevant authorities for displays, exhibits, and food services.Organize registration for participants.Develop programs, agendas, budgets, and services per client needs.Stay updated on meeting management standards through publications, seminars, and professional consultation.Work ContextThis role involves writing letters and memos, direct contact with others, telephone conversations, email communication, decision-making impacting resources and reputation, working under strict deadlines, leading teams, and working with external clients and the public.
