About Speak Your Way to Cash

Speak Your Way to Cash is a sales training company serving women founders and entrepreneurs. Our live events are the heartbeat of the business: they sell out, they scale every year, and they are produced to a premium standard. We are hiring one Event Planner to own our entire in-person events calendar end to end.

The events you will run

Black Women Sell Live: our flagship annual conference. 1,000 attendees in 2026 and moving to arena scale in 2027, planned at 5,000 to 8,000 attendees over three days, with a main stage, breakouts, an expo, multiple ticket tiers with their own entrances and experiences, sponsor activations, and a Black Men Sell Live track.
Mastermind Retreat: a multi-day retreat for our 120-member mastermind, including private lunches, dinners, and sessions.
Make More Sales Show tapings: live studio tapings with an audience, produced multiple times a year.
The Founders Dinner: an intimate, application-only dinner during Miami Art Week, plus additional private founder dinners and VIP experiences.
International retreats and travel experiences: including our Ghana experience (February 2028, 100 guests, five-star hotel partner) and future international retreats.
Virtual events: launch webinars, challenges, and virtual summits, which you will support from time to time alongside your in-person work.

What you will do

Own every in-person event from concept to close-out: timelines, budgets, run of show, load-in, show days, and load-out.
Source venues and run RFPs; lead all negotiations, including venue, hotel, catering, and vendor contracts, and protect the company in every agreement.
Own each event budget and P&L. Your bonus is tied to net event revenue, so you will plan budgets, track every cost against them, and find savings without cutting the guest experience.
Screen, hire, and manage all event vendors: AV and production, staging, decor, signage and wraps, catering, photography and video, security, transportation, and staffing agencies.
Build and manage event staffing plans: hire and schedule staff and volunteers, assign roles, and run the on-site team on event days.
Direct sponsor deliverables on site so every sponsor commitment is fulfilled and documented.
Oversee registration, ticketing, check-in flow, and guest experience at every tier, from general admission to our highest VIP levels.
Coordinate speaker, VIP, and executive logistics: travel, green rooms, rehearsals, and run-throughs.
Run the post-event close: final invoices, budget reconciliation, and a written debrief with numbers.

What you must bring

Proven experience planning or producing events in all three of these settings: (1) international retreats, (2) arena events, and (3) large-scale events with more than 5,000 attendees. This is a firm requirement, and we will ask for specifics: which events, where, how many attendees, and what you personally owned.
A track record of screening vendors and managing event staffing at scale.
Strong contract negotiation experience, including venue and hotel agreements.
Real budget ownership: you have built event budgets, managed them line by line, and can speak to the net revenue of events you produced.
Calm, decisive on-site leadership with large teams, vendors, and thousands of guests.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, with the ability to travel for events, site visits, and retreats, including internationally.

Compensation

$80,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus calculated on net event revenue, with on-track earnings of $125,000 for hitting event targets. Full details of the bonus structure will be shared with finalists.

How to apply

Apply with your resume and a short cover note that names the largest event you have produced (attendance, venue type, and your role), your international retreat experience, and the largest budget you have owned. Candidates who do not address the three required settings in their cover note will not be moved forward.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
