Event Planner / Event Sales

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and sales-driven Event Planner / Event Sales professional to join our team. This position combines event planning, client relationship management, and sales to help bring exceptional events and experiential activations to life from initial inquiry through execution.

The ideal candidate is confident communicating with clients, developing event concepts, preparing proposals, closing sales, and managing multiple projects at once. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, recommend services and event solutions, develop quotes, and ensure all event details are properly communicated to our production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in event sales, experiential marketing, event production, hospitality, corporate events, or special events who enjoys both the creative and business sides of the event industry.

Responsibilities

Manage incoming event inquiries and guide prospective clients through the sales and planning processCommunicate with clients to understand their event goals, vision, guest count, branding requirements, budget, and logistical needsRecommend event services, experiential activations, rentals, and custom solutions based on each client's needsPrepare proposals, estimates, invoices, and event packagesFollow up consistently with leads and prospective clients to help convert inquiries into confirmed bookingsBuild and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, venues, event planners, and other industry professionalsIdentify upselling and cross-selling opportunities while ensuring recommendations remain relevant to the client's event and budgetDevelop comprehensive event plans, including timelines, layouts, vendor requirements, staffing needs, logistics, and production detailsCoordinate event requirements with internal production, design, operations, and onsite teamsMaintain accurate client records, communication, event details, and sales activity within CRM and event management systemsManage multiple events and client accounts simultaneously while meeting deadlinesAssist with vendor sourcing and negotiations when requiredConduct venue walkthroughs and client meetings as neededEnsure all confirmed event details are accurately transitioned from sales into production and executionProvide exceptional customer service before, during, and after each eventMaintain communication with clients regarding contracts, payments, deadlines, design approvals, and event requirementsAttend networking opportunities, industry events, venue meetings, and client presentations when necessaryTravel to events, walkthroughs, and client meetings as required

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of event planning, event sales, event production, hospitality sales, experiential marketing, or related experience requiredPrevious experience in event sales or event production sales is strongly preferredStrong sales skills with experience communicating with leads, preparing proposals, following up, and closing businessExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong client-facing and relationship-building abilitiesProven ability to manage multiple events, clients, and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailComfortable discussing event budgets, pricing, contracts, invoices, and payment schedules with clientsExperience with CRM, event management, invoicing, or project management platformsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to quickly learn new software and internal systemsUnderstanding of event production, rentals, experiential activations, branding, AV, photography, video, or technical event services is highly desirableExperience working with corporate events, agencies, brand activations, conferences, sports events, weddings, or large-scale special events is a plusAbility to remain professional and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environmentMust be comfortable working collaboratively with sales, creative, production, and onsite event teams

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
