We are seeking a detail-oriented Event Planning and Marketing Manager to assist in the development of marketing and event planning strategies for our Bureau. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating events, sourcing event space, contracting with hotel properties and conference venues, recruiting speakers and vendors, and handling all logistics from pre-planning to onsite services. The ideal candidate should have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel, as well as strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multitask and work independently. Additional responsibilities include creating marketing campaigns to increase participant numbers at our conferences and other initiatives, gathering information and producing annual reports, and preparing a variety of correspondence, including reports. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with the EMS system in NYS and prior experience working in a New York State Department of Health environment.
