The USO of Louisiana and Mississippi is proud to lead several major initiatives designed to deliver an unforgettable welcome to these visiting service members. These initiatives include an expansive pier-side welcome celebration, a dedicated USO support and comfort center operating throughout the week, and a series of morale-building events that immerse the guests in an authentic Louisiana experience. The Fleet Week New Orleans & USO Event Planning & Development Team plays a critical role in conceptualizing, organizing, and executing these impactful activities. Beyond these headline events, additional community engagement activities ensure that service members can connect deeply with New Orleans citizens throughout the week. Volunteers may participate in planning activities at their convenience leading up to the event, with additional opportunities available during the week of Fleet Week from May 27 to June 1, 2026.
