The Monarch San Antonio, a part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is one of Zachry Hotels' flagship projects, set to open in early 2026. This 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel is located in the vibrant Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. The role focuses on event planning and the execution of catering and group events in accordance with the hotel’s standards and in collaboration with the operations team. The position is central to delivering high-level, customized service and creating luxurious gathering experiences that not only satisfy guests but also optimize profitability. Responsibilities include implementing commercial strategic initiatives, collaborating with multiple departments to drive innovative event delivery, and maintaining exceptional service standards through careful planning, coordination, and continuous improvement. The role requires managing event details such as space, equipment, menus, themes, paperwork, and client communication to ensure a flawless execution.

Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of improved standard operating procedures that support consistent training and accountability. • High school graduate or equivalent
• Four year college degree preferred
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment required
• Minimum of 2 years as Department Head leading a team
• Minimum of 2 years catering sales experience
• Minimum of 2 years event planning experience
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong computer skills including Delphi, Excel, and Word
• Ability to travel within designated markets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of current event management trends
• Ability to prepare complex reports and manage detailed information
