In addition to event coordination, this role dedicates about 25% of its time to targeting, capturing, and coordinating catering sales. The Event Planner aims to meet and exceed revenue goals by developing new catering accounts and managing all group business components in a profitable and mutually beneficial manner. • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent • One year minimum hotel sales or catering experience • Reliable transportation and valid state driver's license for outside sales calls • Ability to hear, speak, read and write English fluently • Effective verbal communication and business writing skills • Dexterity and mobility to meet clients on and off premises and operate office equipment • Vision to read fine print and computer screens • Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally in weather exposure when making sales calls
