The Event Planning Manager role is a critical position within this dynamic new resort. This position is responsible for managing the sales bookings and maintaining close communication with meeting planners and hotel staff to ensure event success. The manager administers contracts, coordinates all food, beverage, and audiovisual needs, manages room blocks, oversees billing, and performs final event reviews. As the onsite liaison, the Event Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in the smooth execution of all events and celebrations hosted at the resort.
This role demands a professional skilled in short- and long-term event planning, including budget development, marketing strategy implementation, and revenue generation through catering sales. The manager works closely with culinary teams to design creative and innovative menus while ensuring pricing strategies align with budget goals. A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning or comparable experience preferred
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and able to handle a fast paced environment
Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
Good leadership skills
Ability to multitask and highly organized
Proficiency in various event software
Refined verbal and written communication skills
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
