The Event Planning Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the Wild Dunes Resort Culture as well as promoting Wild Dunes Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice • Plan & service group business for the resort • Interact with all departments of the resort while working in a fast-paced, active sales office • Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems with good judgment • Maintain a positive working relationship with departments and interacting groups. • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and maintain the work area in a professional, orderly manner. • Proficiency in executing a sales plan to meet or exceed revenue goals • Experience and efficiency in calling on and developing new accounts from local and regional businesses and professional organizations • Proficiency in account penetration and mapping to determine influences, coaches, and decision-makers • Knowledge of and experience in local social catering and wedding markets, with the ability to sell and service elegant and prestigious events • Motivation to conduct direct solicitation and follow up with customers in a targeted, timely, and thoughtful manner • Competence in developing and executing targeted sales missions and documenting results • Professional to coordinate and conduct customer site inspections • Service-oriented, approaching all encounters with guests and colleagues in an attentive and courteous manner
